  2.               KLONDIKE SOLITAIRE
  3.  
  4.  Perhaps one  of  the  most  popular  cards  games  today  is
  5.  solitaire.  Klondike Solitaire  is  played using a layout as
  6.  shown with the Tableau containing 28 cards  initially    in  7
  7.  piles.  The first pile, one card; the second, two cards; and
  8.  so  on  up to seven.  The top card of each pile is face  up;
  9.  all others are face down.
  10.  
  11.  The Foundation is built by first  placing  each  Ace  as  it
  12.  becomes available from the Tableau or Talon.  As other cards
  13.  in suit and sequence become available, they  are  placed  on
  14.  the proper pile of the Foundation.

  16.  The Object of the game is to get the four suits  built  onto
  17.  the Foundations up to the kings.
  18.  To  play  Klondike  Solitaire    using  PC  Mouse,  cards  are
  19.  selected from the Tableau  or    Talon  with  the  LEFT    Mouse
  20.  Button when the cursor is located inside the card.  Move the
  21.  cursor to the desired place on the Tableau or Foundation and
  22.  push the LEFT Button again.   This  causes the card or cards
  23.  selected to  be  moved.   Any face down cards on the Tableau
  24.  can be turned over by placing the cursor inside the card and
  25.  again pushing the LEFT Button.

  27.  To  move  the next three cards from the Stock    pile  to  the
  28.  Talon, push  the  LEFT Button on the Stock pile and the next
  29.  group of three cards (or whatever remains)  will  appear  on
  30.  the Talon, last card up.

  32.  If you select a card to be moved and decide you don't really
  33.  want to move it, you should push  the LEFT button again with
  34.  the cursor positioned over the selected card.
  35.  The RIGHT Button can be used to  move cards from the Tableau
  36.  or Talon to the Foundation without using the  selection  and
  37.  moving sequence with the LEFT Button.    Note that  the    RIGHT
  38.  button is a short-cut: You can still  use the LEFT button to
  39.  move cards to the Foundation.

  41.  On the screen is an  "UNDO"  Box to undo the last move.  You
  42.  can use this  Box to correct  a mistake (which KLONDIKE will
  43.  call "Cheating"),  or if you change your mind after moving a
  44.  card.     You must  "UNDO"  your move before selecting another
  45.  card to be moved.   Also, a  REDEAL Box deals out a new hand
  46.  and a    QUIT Box Ends a session.   To select the  UNDO Box or
  47.  the REDEAL or QUIT Box, you position the cursor over the Box
  48.  and push either Mouse Button. The middle button (if present)
  49.  can be used to UNDO also.

  53.                RULES OF KLONDIKE

  55.  Playing involves  moving cards from Talon, Stock, or Tableau
  56.  to the Tableau.   A  selected    card  can be placed only on a
  57.  card next-higher in rank than    the  bottom card of a Tableau
  58.  pile and  of  opposite color.    If more than one card is face
  59.  up on the Tableau  pile,  all    such cards must be moved as a
  60.  unit.    When all cards have  been  moved from a Tableau pile,
  61.  the void may only be filled with a king.

  63.  The rest of the deck after the Tableau  is  dealt  forms the
  64.  Stock.  Cards    are  taken three at a time from the Stock and
  65.  placed on the Talon.  The upper most card  of    the  Talon is
  66.  always available  for    play.    When no play can be made from
  67.  the Talon,  the  next    three cards are taken from the Stock.

  69.  When the Stock is exhausted,  the  Talon deck is turned over
  70.  and becomes the new Stock pile.
